Spot2.be is a privately funded startup with offices in the Amstel, Amsterdam. Spot2.be tries to solve the location, addresses, maps and directions hassle by combining all important data it all in one simple tiny link.

Where did the idea come from?

Because of the tiny Moo cards Mathys van Abbe used as his Mobypicture business cards. He was annoyed by the space the address took. Nobody travels to an office with the address on the business card anyway, so he decided to use the Mobypicture tinyurl service and generated a tinyurl for the Google Maps location. (http://mobypicture.com/?boat) Whenever there was a drinks party on the deck of the office boat people started Twittering or text messaging this link for the location (at that point clicked over 600 times) and the concept for spot2be was born.

What's different from Google Maps?

Google maps is a great tool and we use it for our service as well. We just try to make it as easy as possible to add and share your favourite spots.
